Do you sort of 'Hypnotize' yourself when in pain?
As I focus on something very hard to count or … and watching my swing knees when im in so much pain to try to block it. Or just focus on somesort of pace and swing movement circluar knees. I know it sounds silly … but it helps me concentrate on something other than pain. Anyone else do something simular to this? For the 2nd answer i mean physical pain:)
It appears that you separate yourself from the pain focus on something else. And really, that is all that is hypnosis, focused concentration on a particular goal (in this case the treatment of pain) And yes, I did similar thing when he dislocated his knee (not the roll) and just sort "left the path of pain," so say. natural childbirth, what do they get to do? Breathing, and focused and deliberate (ie concentrated) form. Exactly the same. Cheers,
