Hypertension (High blood pressure) AYURVEDA
High blood pressure does not mean excessive emotional tension, although emotional tension and stress can temporarily increase blood pressure. Normal blood pressure is below 120/80; blood pressure between 120/80 and 139/89 is called "Pre-Hypertension", and a blood pressure of 140/90 or above is considered high. Hypertension is clearly a major public health problem.
The top number, the systolic blood pressure, corresponds to the pressure in the arteries as the heart contracts and pumps blood forward into the arteries. The bottom number, the diastolic pressure, represents the pressure in the arteries as the heart relaxes after the contraction. The diastolic pressure reflects the lowest pressure to which the arteries are exposed.
The cardinal symptoms of Hypertension are: Inability to Sleep well, Palpitations, Giddiness, Weakness, and Impairment of Digestion. An elevation of the systolic and/or diastolic blood pressure increases the risk of developing heart (cardiac) disease, kidney (renal) disease, hardening of the arteries (atherosclerosis or arteriosclerosis), eye damage, and stroke (brain damage) & even Death. These complications of hypertension are often referred to as end-organ damage because damage to these organs is the end result of chronic (long duration) high blood pressure. For that reason, the diagnosis of high blood pressure is important so efforts can be made to normalize blood pressure and prevent complications.
The blood pressure usually is measured with a small, portable instrument called Sphygmomanometer. (‘Sphygmo' is Greek for ‘pulse', and a ‘manometer' measures ‘pressure'.)
According to Ayurveda, however, Hypertension (RAKTHA VATAM) is a result of vitiation of Vayu. Excessive use of Alcohol and other Intoxicants; Salt; Lack of Exercise, Leading to continuous inactivity of the heart muscle under conditions of stress-are all reasons for Hypertension.
5000 years old ancient wisdom of Ayurveda has a lot to offer for millions of people to combat stress, the effects of which are often associated with skin, sexual health of the individuals. Since times immemorable, Ayurveda has been advocating many rejuvenating recopies for improving & maintaining good health, which leads to a normal and happy life thus improving the deficiencies without any side effects.
Treatment procedures mainly involve the changing of nutritional protocol & life style by which we can greatly influence our physical, mental & emotional health. It is also highly beneficial in rejuvenation therapies. 4) NASYAM: nasal administration of medicated oils to cleanse accumulated kapha dosha from the head & neck regions. 5) RAKTHA MOKSHANAM: blood letting using leeches etc effective in haemopathological conditions.
Once the toxins are removed and the body is purified from doshas responsible for causing the diseases then rejuvenation procedures & therapeutic massages are beneficial. Judicious combinations of scientifically standardized drugs having rejuvenating correcting imbalances are administered for the promotion of a healthy normal living of the person.

- A simple ABHYANGA revives body, mind, senses and the soul, increasing energy levels and thus promotes the feeling of well-being.
- SIRO DHARA, in which medicated oils are streamed on to the fore head, relaxes the central nervous system, melting away all the stresses & strains.
- PIZHICHIL (Medicated Oil Bath) Sarvanga Dhara/ Kaya Seka provides the ultimate rejuvenation and increases the circulation around the body

what kind of oil do i use in my meyer snow plow pump?
thought maybe 10wt hyd. oil but just want to double check with someone who knows for sure
I would use a hydraulic oil in a snow plow unit. 10wt may be okay but why take chances with your plow failing when there is two feet of snow on the ground? Having said that, you might also check your owners manual to see what it has to say.
