I have a 96 ford ranger I was trying to replace the shocks bolt to the bottom was broken?
The nut broke the lock, how to replace the screw is welded and there is a spacer around the screw can be screwed off and the screw to be removed?
I doubt that the bolt is welded the structure or piece of suspension. If so, you will have to grind it and have a new welding. Most likely just passing through. You can get replacement screws to good auto parts stores. The Home Depot and Lowes carry them too, but not with the rest of the screws. You must use grade 5 or Grade 8 if it is standard, and equivalent grades if they are metric, which would be grade 8.8 or 10.9. These screws are made to highest standards with better materials.
